The nature of consciousness remains the most profound “Hard Problem” in modern science. While materialist neuro science views consciousness as an emergent property of the brain that ceases at biological death, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS)—specifically the Abhidhamma—propose a “stream of consciousness” (Citta-santati) that transcends physical boundaries. This paper argues that the phenomenon of reincarnation is not a metaphysical belief but a process of Information Transfer governed by the laws of energy conservation. By treating consciousness as a non-local, information-encoded energy field, we can hypothesise a mechanism where “Mental Data” is conserved and re-manifested in a new biological substrate.
