Life Centered Therapy, Waltham, MA, USA
We are pleased to introduce Andrew Hahn, Psy.D., a Harvard-educated licensed clinical psychologist, founder of Life Centered Therapy, and co-author of The One-Hour Miracle: A 5-Step Process to Guide Your Self-Healing, Change the Story, Re-Author Your Life. The foreword to the book was written by Ann Marie Chiasson, MD, MPH, Director of the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and author of Energy Healing: The Essentials of Self-Care. For more than 30 years, Dr. Hahn has explored the relationship between consciousness, healing, trauma, and human transformation. His work integrates clinical psychology, subtle energy, embodied awareness, and consciousness studies into a comprehensive model that has produced significant outcomes in both individual and collective healing. His work has also been featured in scholarly publications, including: Guided Self-Healing: A New Consciousness-Based Model of Personal and Collective Healing and Evolution Andrew H. Hahn, Psy.D., and Linda Crawford, L.I.C.S.W. Bridges, ISSSEEM Magazine, Vol. 15, No. 3, Fall 2004. Most recently, Dr. Hahn presented a TEDx talk entitled: "When the Problem Is the Path: How Symptoms, Trauma, and Emotional Pain Reveal the Hidden Path of Healing." The central premise of his work is that when experiences cannot be fully accepted, processed, or integrated, aspects of consciousness become frozen. This frozen consciousness often manifests as emotional suffering, recurring life patterns, interpersonal difficulties, or physical symptoms. Individuals may then unconsciously identify with these symptoms and repeatedly reenact elements of the original unresolved experience. Dr. Hahn's model proposes that healing occurs not through the suppression or management of symptoms, but through sustained awareness, acceptance, and direct engagement with the underlying embodied experience. Through this process, what was once frozen can reveal deeper meaning, wisdom, and evolutionary potential. As consciousness returns to a more integrated and fluid state, symptoms often diminish, emotional reactivity decreases, and individuals gain greater access to curiosity, openness, compassion, resilience, and expanded awareness. By bridging clinical psychology, consciousness studies, subtle energy, trauma resolution, and personal transformation, this work offers a novel framework for understanding the relationship between consciousness and healing. We believe this perspective will be of significant interest to the Consciousness Science community. As part of the presentation, participants will engage in an experiential exercise designed to provide a direct encounter with the principles underlying the model. This interactive component will allow attendees to explore how embodied awareness and subtle energetic processes may contribute to healing and transformation, while illustrating the implications of a broader consciousness-based paradigm for the future of psychology.
