Structure Of Consciousness

At 81 years am old senior from the Silent Generation: This September I will be applying to Department of Philosophy at Stanford University to begin work for my PhD in CONSCIOUSNESS. because a defining truth has taken shape in my life: awareness itself can be studied, trained, expanded, and lived as a measurable human capacity. Through all of my life, a single thread has remained constant: the conviction that CONSCIOUSNESS; is not an abstract concept but a lived STRUCTURE that shapes purpose, resilience, identity, and human flourishing. … there has awakened in me some profound CONSCIOUS questions: What is the lived experience of Being? What is presence? What is the felt sense of existence beneath thought? What is It that shows up and brings us to deeply know ourselves? What is the nature of Being, of a human being, that Allows for everything to show up? My Core Thesis: Research Consciousness’ Presence and find our Resident Nature of Being. My research begins from a simple observation: human beings do not merely have consciousness as an object of study. We live as consciousness. The direct experience of BEING aware, making choices —the felt reality of BEING presence itself—deserves systematic philosophical investigation… alongside contemporary neuroscience and cognitive science research.
