Consciousness Field Based on Electromagnetic/Weak Forces: The Bioneutrino Field Hypothesis

Consciousness remains one of the most challenging unsolved problems in science. Existing theories have largely focused on neural computation, electromagnetic signaling, quantum mechanics, or information processing, yet a comprehensive framework connecting consciousness, life, and anomalous biofield phenomena remains elusive. The Bioneutrino Field (BNF) Hypothesis proposes that consciousness and biological organization may involve interactions between electromagnetic processes and neutrino-related quantum fields through combined interactions. Drawing upon quantum field theory, quantum biology, biofield science, and neutrino physics, the model seeks to provide a framework linking consciousness with persistent informational structures of living systems. Neutrinos are known as rarely-interacting particles, permeating the universe. The paradigm-shifting neutrino wave form (COHERENT, CEvNS, 2017) is known to some physicists. Neutrino waves interact much more under coherent conditions than neutrino particles. The BNF model proposes that electromagnetic fields of living systems, under conditions of biological and quantum coherence, couple to neutrino-related fields. Bioneutrino Fields serve as an informational template that records and organizes biological activity as well as carrying neutrino energy (Pauli), while remaining largely invisible to conventional electromagnetic instrumentation. This hypothesis builds upon the pioneering ideas of Rupert Sheldrake’s Morphogenetic Fields, Maurice Goodman who associated neutrinos with biological cells, and Yuri Kronn’s integration of neutrinos and subtle energy. Thus, bioneutrino fields could function as repositories of information and memory surrounding living organisms. The theoretical foundation is strengthened by the work of Massimo Blasone and colleagues, who described macroscopic manifestations based on quantum fields involving boson condensates in biology. QFT describes scalable fields applicable from cells, water, to organisms (Bischof, De Guidici), the scalability not found in QM. Bioneutrino fields may be composed of EM and quantum fields of neutrinos with their related bosons surrounding and permeating biology at all scales. Nested around the brain, a BNF might interact with microtubules carrying electromagnetic signals. Neutrino’s left-handed chirality might potentially flip dimers and influence biological structures with helical geometry—such as DNA or alpha-helical proteins. The BNF hypothesis also offers a bridge between contemporary science and traditional concepts such as prana/qi, the subtle body, and morphic fields. It suggests that biofield healing, advanced meditation, and altered states of consciousness may involve shifts in biological coherence that engage neutrino-related fields before measurable electromagnetic or biochemical changes become apparent. Supporting experiments on exceptional Masters showed that emitting qi/prana from their hands demonstrated anomalous behavior in the subatomic nuclei of various organic and inorganic substances, suggesting processes not yet fully explained by conventional electromagnetic models. Biofield healing occasionally produces large magnetic fields and releases of electrostatic energy, potentially representing secondary EM manifestations of deeper EM/weak processes. The Bioneutrino Field hypothesis generates testable predictions, including correlations between biological coherence, electromagnetic field dynamics, and weak-interaction signatures. Direct testing would require researchers from consciousness studies, biology, neutrino physics, and biofield scientists. The BNF Hypothesis offers a novel framework for investigating the relationship between consciousness, information, energy, and living systems. About the speaker

Debra D. Overberg, BSEE, is an independent researcher, educator, and former electrical engineer whose work explores the possible role of neutrinos in consciousness, biology, and subtle energy phenomena. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where her interest in neutrino physics first began.

Overberg spent many years at Hewlett-Packard, specializing in RF and microwave measurement technologies for aerospace and communications applications. She later contributed to HP's entry into the emerging high-bandwidth photonics industry and trained engineers throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in advanced electronic instrumentation and measurement systems. This background provided a strong foundation in electromagnetic field theory, signal propagation, and experimental technologies.

Over the past two decades, Overberg has expanded her studies to include quantum biology, consciousness research, bioelectromagnetics, and traditional healing systems. Her education through Energy Medicine University included coursework in biophysics, bioenergetics, Vedic consciousness, Theosophy, and cross-cultural healing traditions. She has studied with leading researchers and educators including James Oschman, Beverly Rubik, Dominique Surel, and Cyndi Dale.

Drawing on both scientific and experiential perspectives, Overberg has developed the Bioneutrino Field Theory, a framework that investigates whether neutrinos may participate in biological organization, consciousness processes, and information exchange within living systems. Portions of this work have been presented at meetings of the Society for Scientific Exploration, where she was honored with the 2023 Aspiring Scientific Explorer Award.

In addition to her research, Overberg is a licensed massage therapist, energy medicine practitioner, and teacher of the Golden Yolk. Through her educational programs and clinical work, she has guided thousands of individuals in practices intended to cultivate awareness, healing, and personal transformation.

Her current work seeks to build bridges between physics, biology, consciousness studies, and ancient wisdom traditions, advancing new models for understanding the relationship between mind, life, and the fundamental structure of reality.
