Contemporary consciousness studies increasingly highlight models in which conscious states exert causal influence over neural and environmental systems. This paper presents a structured body of observational evidence gathered over two decades by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF) and the Maharshi University of Spirituality, examining how shifts in consciousness — induced primarily through defined spiritual practices — correlate with measurable consequences across environmental and individual domains. While shifts in consciousness and vibrations in the atmosphere are generally elusive to unassisted human perception, recent advancements in energy field scanning technologies—such as Polycontrast Interference Photography (PIP) and the Universal Aura Scanner (UAS)—provide a means to objectively measure and quantify them. Although PIP and UAS have not yet undergone extensive independent validation, they offer a promising foundation as generative tools whose full potential will be best realized through continued cross-site validation work. In the environmental domain, a wide-ranging project analyzing nine hundred soil and water samples from thirty one countries found systematic variation in properties (as measured through energy-field readings) which reflected the predominant collective consciousness of the surrounding regions. Sites associated with spiritual activity tended to exhibit greater expansiveness of energy fields in a consistent manner. Visual evidence and measurements of trees in the vicinity of such a site provide an interesting illustration of the observed quantified pattern. In a follow-up experiment, buildings, people and selected samples of soil, water and air were exposed to treatment consisting of ritualistic fires (yadnyas) performed by experienced spiritual practitioners and with strong fidelity to ancient protocols that are believed to induce higher level consciousness. The measured effects using the UAS, including effects measured over time, showed the impact of energy vibrations at far distances (over six thousand kilometers away) and consistency across samples. In the individual domain, UAS-measured energy field size was compared between long-term practitioners of spiritual disciplines and those in earlier stages of spiritual practice. Energy field measurements trended significantly larger among practitioners reporting more intensive practice. Taking these observations as a whole, we conclude that the consciousness induced and increased through spiritual practices influences individuals and the environment in a way that can be measured through energy field scanning technology.

My work focuses on applied approaches to spiritual practice, healing, and consciousness development, as well as fostering collaboration among spiritual paths. I advocate for and actively support the bridging of science and spirituality through partnerships with researchers in consciousness studies, and the integration of spirituality and personal development into mental health and public education. I have over 25 years of experience in spiritual practice, including seven years of full-time residence in ashrams in India and Europe. Since 2022, my work has involved extensive international travel, with 300+ lectures delivered across 35 countries and more than 100 cities.
