Q-aser (Q-action Set Extent Restriction) is a novel theory of interactionist dualism based around a new model of brain-mind interaction. In this model, the effects of the brain on the mind are explained as restrictions on the qualia it can access, through a mechanism related to quantum entanglement. Q-aser postulates four types of ontic objects: qualia, quanta, Q-actions, and Q-action access sets. These objects interact in definite ways which together produce conscious minds that are restricted by neural activity. Q-aser provides solutions to several outstanding problems in philosophy from an interactionist dualist perspective, providing a new role for this position. These problems include the interactions between neurons and qualia, the inversion problem for qualia, and several cases from the empirical literature. Q-aser also provides a novel basis for meta-ethics.
