I have been persuaded by one of the delegates at this conference to participate, as a layman, not a scientist; I am addressing your emotional side, which I have been assured you scientists all possess – are you able to join me in “thinking outside the box?” Until 2017, I did not believe in life after death, but when I was 56 years old, my mother-in-law died and proved beyond doubt that she was still around in some form, by giving us various signs. My father-in-law also didn’t believe in life after death and thought we were crazy to think his late wife was giving us signs from the afterlife. Four years later, when he died, he immediately gave us signs that he was also still alive in the afterlife. After much persuasion from my wife, I got some electronic ghost-hunting equipment to try to communicate with and see my late in-laws on camera. This proved to be totally successful from day 1. I have had a continuing communication with Joan and Roger for over 3 ½ years using this equipment, with Roger appearing on the SLS camera most times I turn on the device. I cannot find any other similar example of someone in regular communication with their late relatives, documented on video recordings. I used an SLS camera to detect the spirits of both my in-laws, along with an Ovilus 3 talking dictionary and a K2 EMF meter. Over more than a hundred videos, Roger shows up on the SLS camera as a green stick figure superimposed on the camera’s view. Initially I filmed at their grave, where Joan and Roger are buried, but I soon realised they would appear wherever I used the devices, at our house, someone else’s house, or at a university 150 miles away from home. I filmed all the equipment in use using my iPhone and saved every video I recorded since December 2022. The Society for Psychical Research have confirmed in tests that the SLS camera genuinely sees spirits. Three psychic mediums have confirmed that the spirits we see on the SLS camera are Joan and Roger, my in-laws. Roger is the primary participant appearing on the SLS camera. As a physical being, he loved electronic devices, and spirits are renowned for the ability to manipulate electrical and electronic devices. All videos are available to view on @joanandrogerafterlife. I have written a book, Joan and Roger Alive in the Afterlife, to document everything. As an Oxford University graduate, initially a schoolteacher, Roger valued education, knowledge and books above all else. He is proving to everyone here on Earth that he was wrong, there really is life after death. He has proved that consciousness is separate from the physical brain, living on independently of our bodies. He is still helping with my investigations, the latest is where he proves Tesla cars’ AI camera system really does see spirits, as many people have suggested. I never imagined that I would write a book, there had never been anything that gripped me enough to make me take on the enormous amount of hard work that writing one requires.

Educated at Thomas Aquinas Grammar School in Leeds in the 1970s, Spillane achieved A-level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, but he did not attend university. Having always classed himself as a sceptic, it was not until the passing of his mother-in-law Joan, that he started to investigate if there was actually “something” beyond death.
