"EYE-HEART Theoretical Framework: Conscience & Will In The Soul of Spirit-Focused Human Beings"

“Psychology was meant to be the Study of the Soul, which is the root meaning of the Word. However, in its’ infancy, psychology sought to be recognized and valued as ‘scientific’. This unfortunately caused an enormous emphasis in psychological training, clinical practice and research to attempt to prove itself by becoming more like psychiatry and other scientific fields which dealt with symptoms and diagnosis, which in turn led to less emphasis on the integration of soul-mind-body connection in human behavior. Moreover, this motivation to primarily emphasize scientific validity, in effect, detoured the actual Study of the Soul in the field of Psychology. towards a more-medical model of the Mind, which Psychiatry already held as an established, credible focus. As psychiatrists like Carl Jung (introducing the Collective conscious and subconscious, shadow side of animus/anima, archetypes and masculine /feminine inner realities) and Roberto Assagioli (Psychosynthesis, Egg Diagram, Superconscious-Higher Self, the Middle Unconscious and the Lower-Unconscious) began to wean from psychiatric models in which they had been enculturated and trained, previous Freudian rigidity of the doctor/therapist knowing more than the patient themselves faced scrutiny. Questions and new theories are the food for growth, experimentation and expansion. Nevertheless, the prominent significance of validity and proving credibility stood fiercely dominant. Numerous new theories began including realms of the spirit, soul, mind and higher mind dealing with spirituality, the concepts of intention, free will and a client’s ability to help themselves with a positive power of seeking wholeness. This birthed possibilities in which self-awareness, inner-exploration, adaptation to transformational thought, inclusion of challenging one’s belief-system called forth a responsibility and an empowering oneself with higher-self, spiritual realm integration. As these new potentialities grew, expansion in Psychology was also embracing Eastern healing modalities of meditation, ancestral healing, contemplative practices, music and sound healing, creative arts and expressive therapies. EYE-HEART presents a workable and thorough theoretical framework in which one may enter states of consciousness & higher spiritual realities, learning to retrain thoughts and attitudes as well as forming conscience. It is time to change. It is time to be transformed. It is time to find new ways of thinking, feeling, intuiting, acknowledging and embracing realms and realities of consciousness that are yet to be experienced, discovered and practiced every day, all day long. The severity of life on this planet is a tragic and immediate crisis. We must remind ourselves that life is NOT good when it is lived in the manner we are living it. We can change ourselves. We must change ourselves. We are the only ones who CAN make this change. "
