Schrödinger (1944) posed the question that remains unanswered at the foundations of biophysics: how does a living system sustain and increase its ordered complexity against thermodynamic decay? This paper introduces the Structural Expansion Constant, Ω = e^φ² ≈ 13.709, derived from the golden ratio φ and Euler's number e, as the negentropic coherence ceiling governing conscious self-organisation within a framework called Onto-Syntropics (OS). Because φ² = φ + 1, the constant decomposes as e^φ² = e^φ · e, where e^φ represents harmonic structural expansion and e¹ is interpreted as a continuous vacuum ground-state subsidy that permanently underwrites coherence growth. Building on Fröhlich's (1968) coherent excitations and Popp's (1984) biophotonic emission experiments, the framework models consciousness as a nine-level nested field hierarchy (biomechanical-somatic through quantum vacuum), plus a generative ground state (Level 0), yielding ten states total. Three carrier modes transduce information across this architecture: biophotonic (φ), excitonic (ψ), and phononic (g), formalised as the Transduction Triad. Consciousness dynamics follow a lemniscate geometry with two conjugate lobes. The negentropic return lobe (ERO) is bounded by Ω ≈ 13.709. The electromagnetic emergence lobe (EGO) is bounded by α⁻¹ ≈ 137.036 (CODATA 2018). Their ratio yields a coherence-return coefficient: R_CER = Ω / α⁻¹ ≈ 0.1000, accurate to 0.04%, predicting that in an unconditioned system approximately 90% of field energy is allocated to phenomenal projection across the Phenomenal and Causal domains, while 10% completes the coherent return to source through the Principal domain. The ten-state topology produces a striking correspondence: 10 · Ω = 137.087, matching α⁻¹ = 137.036 to within 0.04%. Consistent with renormalisation group theory, the ten-level hierarchy maps the principal coherence ceiling onto the phenomenal electromagnetic ceiling with a residual of 0.051, suggesting a topological origin for a relationship unexplained since Sommerfeld first isolated α in 1916. Falsifiable Prediction Baseline R_CER, measured via HRV coherence ratio at rest, should approximate 0.1. Coherence practice, formalised through the Scaling Law Ψ(t) = Ψ₀ · e^φ² · π · g(t), should produce measurable increases in HRV coherence, EEG phase-synchrony, and ultra-weak photon emission consistent with Popp and Bajpai (2003), driving R_CER toward unity. Extending the quantum biological programme of Penrose and Hameroff (Orch OR) and the coherent excitation models of Fröhlich and Tuszyński, this framework proposes that the fine-structure constant and the golden ratio are conjugate governors of a single lemniscate transaction at the interface of consciousness and matter. The presentation includes the full derivation, lemniscate architecture, and proposed experimental protocols for verification.
Peter Luxruel is a quantitative researcher and consciousness scientist whose work bridges data science, physics, and the formal study of subjective experience. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an MBA in International Business, both completed with distinction, and has undertaken graduate-level study in AI and Data Science at MIT IDSS and in Business Analytics: Decision Making Using Data at the University of Cambridge.
For over nine years, Luxruel worked as a quantitative analyst across institutional finance, most recently at the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. The decade inside large organisational systems became the empirical ground for a question his MBA training in complex adaptive systems had already raised: what determines whether a system of people operates with coherence or with friction?
Luxruel is Founder, Principal, and Chief Scientist of Sage Moxie Inc., where he directs Synformatix, a unified, deterministic framework operating at the intersection of quantum biophysics, computational research, non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and information theory applied to performance gaps in real-life scenarios. His open-access publications, Bio-Coherence Theory and Bio-PsychoRegenesis, are available on Zenodo and form the theoretical foundation extended in his forthcoming book, PsychoRegenesis: The Science of the Atomic Self and Absolute Reality.
A central aim of his current research is to extend this field architecture beyond the individual into the organisation: applying the layered coherence dynamics to business systems, so that the individuals composing them operate from a higher structural coherence, and the enterprise itself, as a collective field, generates outcomes with measurably greater integrity. Luxruel views this as the natural convergence of his two decades in quantitative finance and his research into consciousness, a framework capable of elevating not only individual awareness but the coherence of economies built from millions of interacting minds.
In 2025, Luxruel presented his Coherent Consciousness Theory at the University of Calgary. He has since developed and delivered original coursework on PsychoRegenesis and consciousness evolution, and hosts consciousness science retreats ranging from intensive weekend experiences to extended immersive programs, grounded in first-person investigative practice consistent with Varela's neurophenomenological method. His research is distinguished by an explicit commitment to falsifiability, with every proposition classified by evidential register from empirically testable claims to foundational axioms, drawing on the information-theoretic work of Wheeler and Deutsch and the dissipative-structures thermodynamics of Nobel laureate Ilya Prigogine. His work is indexed under ORCID 0009-0002-9312-6448.
