Petr Bob

According to recent research the term “Entropy” enables to study the intersection between neuroscience and psychology based on theoretical and experimental findings that form a modern research framework of relationships between Mind and Brain. In this context, historical Sigmund Freud’s thermodynamic theory of mind from the 19th century is now much closer to physical measurements of brain activities and novel basic conceptualizations how to understand the relationships between mind and brain. This extended “thermodynamics of the mind” now includes basic perspectives for future research of the brain and neural processes related to consciousness and memory, and their relationships to psychopathological conditions and influence of psychotherapy on “dissociation” of conscious experience and changes in neural connectivity.

Petr Bob is a researcher in psychology and neuroscience at the Center for Neuropsychiatric Research of Traumatic Stress in the Department of Psychiatry, First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, Prague. He is the author of few published books and has published numerous articles in neuroscience and psychological journals.
